Toastmasters Club
Welcome to ASH Toastmasters
Become the speaker and leader you want to be! Through Toastmasters, American Specialty Health (ASH) employees can improve communication and leadership skills through a series of speeches and meeting roles in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
You're invited to attend a meeting, held weekly on Wednesdays from 1-2 p.m. in the Human Resources training room. Learn how to:
- Overcome nervousness when speaking in front of an audience
- Organize and present your ideas logically and convincingly
- Improve your ability to listen to other peoples ideas and to evaluate them
- Develop self-confidence in your communication skills
What happens at a meeting?
A typical club meeting will include:
- Short Impromptu "Table Topics" speeches
- Prepared speeches
- Evaluations/feedback
Your confidence will grow through the encouragement, support, and constructive feedback you get from fellow members. Toastmasters is a self-directed program and you can be as active as you like.
*ASH Toastmasters is a closed club. Membership is available to ASH employees only. For non-employees, please visit Toastmasters District 5 website to find a club near you.
